Ingredients

  • 250 ml oat milk
  • 5-10 ml maple syrup (1-2 tsp (to taste))
  • 1 tsp matcha powder (*see note)

Instructions

To make a matcha latte on the hob:

  • Put the matcha powder* in a saucepan (off the heat) with 2 tbsp of oat milk. Stir it well to make a thin paste, and then add the maple syrup and stir again.
1 tsp matcha powder, 5-10 ml maple syrup
  • Add the rest of your oat milk and whisk, using a matcha whisk**, until the matcha is fully dissolved.
    250 ml oat milk
  • Heat the mixture gently on the hob until it has warmed through, whisking occasionally. Don’t let the mixture boil.
  • Taste and add more syrup if desired.

To make a matcha latte with a milk frother:

    1 tsp matcha powder
  • Add 3 tbsp of hot water along with the maple syrup and whisk, using a bamboo matcha whisk, until the mixture is smooth.
    5-10 ml maple syrup
  • Heat the oat milk using an electric milk frother until warm through.
    250 ml oat milk
  • Add the frothy milk to the cup and mix well with the matcha mixture.
  • Taste and add more syrup if desired.
