Put the matcha powder* in a saucepan (off the heat) with 2 tbsp of oat milk. Stir it well to make a thin paste, and then add the maple syrup and stir again.
1 tsp matcha powder, 5-10 ml maple syrup
Add the rest of your oat milk and whisk, using a matcha whisk**, until the matcha is fully dissolved.
250 ml oat milk
Heat the mixture gently on the hob until it has warmed through, whisking occasionally. Don’t let the mixture boil.
Taste and add more syrup if desired.
To make a matcha latte with a milk frother:
Add 1 tsp of matcha powder to a cup or small bowl.

Add 3 tbsp of hot water along with the maple syrup and whisk, using a bamboo matcha whisk, until the mixture is smooth.
5-10 ml maple syrup
Heat the oat milk using an electric milk frother until warm through.
250 ml oat milk
Add the frothy milk to the cup and mix well with the matcha mixture.
Taste and add more syrup if desired.
