Silky smooth, creamy tofu icing with zesty orange, warming cinnamon and the delicate sweetness of maple syrup. This deliciously fresh and light icing is the perfect consistency for drizzling over carrot cake, doughnuts or muffins. It is made with just 5 simple ingredients and is naturally sweetened with maple syrup.

This icing is so much healthier than traditional icing and is low calorie, high protein, low fat and much lower sugar than usual. It uses silken tofu for that beautiful creamy texture, but you wouldn’t know it!

The flavours are perfect for pairing with autumn or fall baking; particularly carrot cake or cinnamon raisin muffins. This recipe was created to pair with my Baked Carrot Cake Doughnuts (get the recipe here – released 22nd October 2021) but after causing such a buzz on Instagram, I’ve decided to release it early!

There’s also a thicker, spreadable buttercream style version on the blog – head to the recipe The Best Vegan Carrot Cake You’ll Ever Try to get it!
